Gabrielle is undertaking a Master of International Relations at the University of Melbourne. She also holds a Bachelor of Global Studies from Monash University and, so far, her studies have taken her to Vanuatu, India, Cuba, the US and Borneo – including a scholarship as part of the New Colombo Plan during which she led a team of volunteers from global social enterprise 40K Plus to develop an English program for children in the town of Koira in rural India. She started 2019 working in the Washington DC office of US Senator Mike Crapo, before moving to the Australian Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York. There she worked as an advisor on the UN Economic and Financial Committee (Second Committee), specialising in development. She is now building upon this experience at the Australian British Chamber of Commerce.
Xavier is a final year JD student at Melbourne Law School. He holds a Bachelor of Arts with double majors in Politics and International Studies and in Philosophy, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Arts (Advanced) specialising in Public Policy and Management. Xavier worked for four years as an advisor to then Victorian Shadow Attorney-General John Pesutto, before leaving Victorian Parliament to spend 3 months on Capitol Hill in the Washington DC office of Asia-Pacific Sub-Committee Ranking Member Rep. Ted Yoho. Xavier is of mixed Italian and Chinese heritage, and also speaks French.
